Over the past year and a half, our team has been deeply engaged with COB (Chip-on-Board) technology, forming strong partnerships with leading COB factories. Through these collaborations, we’ve gained an in-depth understanding of the craftsmanship and technology behind COB products. Today, I want to share some of our insights and the direction we’re heading in this industry.

The Road to Becoming a COB Agent
When we first encountered COB, we were aware that it was an expensive technology. However, upon learning about the P0.4 product, our entire team was astonished. This product could be the key to transforming the LED market from a hundred-billion-dollar industry to a trillion-dollar one. The shift lies in entering the consumer market, where a pixel pitch below P0.4 could replace LCD televisions entirely. This realization solidified our decision to enter the COB field.
We envision that even capturing just a small share of this vast COB market will lead to significant returns in the future.
The Current COB Market Landscape
There are currently around 10 factories capable of producing COB products independently. Having personally visited these factories and leveraging our strong industry connections in China, we have a clear understanding of the differences in technology and craftsmanship among them.
The largest producer of COB modules is well-known in the industry, and it’s clear that this company (let’s call it Company A) has already classified its products into three categories:
Grade A products for their major clients,
Grade B products for core agents, and
Grade C products for the broader market, which is why many COB products are relatively inexpensive.
This classification is the industry standard, and understanding these tiers is crucial to navigating the market effectively.
Our Commitment to Quality and Strong Alliances
To ensure our clients receive top-tier COB products, we have established strong relationships with key suppliers, carefully selecting one to two factories as our core partners. One of these factories even provides COB modules for a leading company in the industry. Additionally, we’re negotiating an investment in our own COB module production line. While this requires considerable effort, it will allow us to showcase our true capabilities and give our clients confidence in the stability and quality of our products.
A Vision for the COB Market
Our goal is simple: through strategic partnerships, we aim to deliver high-quality Grade A COB products to our clients. Consistent quality and long-term stability are crucial for success in the LED market. We believe this vision will position us as a key player in the growing COB sector.
In the next issue, I will dive deeper into the features of COB products. My intent isn’t to promote our products but to share valuable insights that will help elevate your understanding of COB technology. Stay tuned!
